Your main option of deleting and filtering spam is by using the Spam Filter Tool. This tool helps you to filter email that has been tagged as spam and either delete them, mark them for delivery to your inbox, or mark them as not "junk". This allows you to manage your spam in one place instead of defining them within your email program. |
There will be times when you will receive email due to a form you filled out online, or possible a place you entered your YCOE email on as a contact. In any event, you are now receiving email that is not necessarily spam and should not be identified as such, but is email that you don't want coming to your inbox. For this you can use the built in filtering functions of Outlook. All you have to do is right click on the email and you will be presented with a sub-window, what you are looking for is Junk E-Mail. Hover over that and you will see the following options:

By selecting Add Sender to Blocked Senders List, you will ensure that any further email from that sender will be put automatically into your Junk Folder. You can take this action for any email you may have inadvertently signed up for, but no longer wish to have to go through. Remember, this option should not be used for actual Spam email.
