FAMILY ACTIVITY:

  • Parents and children can share funny jokes or stories with one another. Parents can also remind their children to always smile.
  • Trimming the Christmas Tree and decorating the house for the holidays can be made into a family event by sharing family memories of previous holidays. This is a chance to laugh with your children and build a family history of shared stories.
  • Spend a few minutes just thinking about all the joy your children bring to your life. How can you bring as much joy into their lives?

CLASS ACTIVITY:

  • Have students make cards to give to their parents for the holidays.
  • Have students make holiday decorations and give them to a hospital or elder care facility.

HIGH SCHOOL ACTIVITY:

  • Take a collection of small gifts and donate them to a local charity that will distribute them to families that cannot afford Christmas presents. This could be made into a class competition.
