  • Be a good example for your children by always keeping up with your responsibilities, if you put off meeting your responsibilities you are teaching them to do the same.
  • Make sure your children are brushing and flossing their teeth. Taking care of one's teeth requires great diligence in order to obtain oral health.

CLASS ACTIVITIES:

  • Make a special effort to keep an eye on what students are doing during work periods, make sure that they are working when they are supposed to. Take the time to praise students for working diligently.
  • Talk to your students about how much easier it is to keep up with an on going task than it is to fall behind and have to catch up. Create clear standards for classroom cleanliness, randomly check student's desks and reward students whose desks are clean.

HIGH SCHOOL ACTIVITY:

  • Have juniors create a schedule for completing their Senior Projects. Pass these schedules on to their advisors.
  • Talk to your students about your grading practices and explain to them that the way to succeed is to work steadily over the entire term.
